Fall Family Session | Haymarket, Virginia | Goings-Godbout Family
What should have been a joint 30th birthday party in the spring for Jessica and David turned out to be a fall/Christmas family session in Haymarket, and everything about it was magical. Jessica and David were so kind and go-with-the-flow, which perfectly complemented William's outgoing and silly personality. He loved playing with their family doggos, and they loved playing with him. COVID-19 may have changed our original party plans, but these moments were such a joy to capture and I loved spending time with the Goings-Godbout family!
After Jessica and David decided to cancel their party due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we planned to have a fall photo session. Once their October date rolled around, however, one of their dogs had some health complications and Jessica asked to postpone so he'd feel healthy enough for our session. I wanted nothing more than for her whole family to be present, so we planned instead for a November session. As the date came closer, more restrictions were set in place due to a recent surge in COVID cases. Jessica decided to have the session at her parents' property in Haymarket instead of Manassas Battlefield and y'all, let me tell you, that was the best decision!
William and the dogs had all the room they wanted to play and run around when they needed a break from the camera. Grandma even got to join in for some of the photos! The sun hid behind clouds and the wind wasn't too brisk like we thought it would be. Jessica did an amazing job choosing everyone's outfits. And don't get me started on the Christmas decorations she brought! I was blown away. I told her she'd have to let me borrow them for a Christmas mini session because they were seriously so cute! Next, I'll have to convince her parents to rent out their land for more photo sessions. ;) I wouldn't change a single thing about this beautiful family session, and I feel so blessed having had the opportunity to capture these special images.
Dear Jessica and David,
I loved hearing about how you met at a Thomas Rhett concert at Jiffy Lube Live that neither of you wanted to attend and proceeded to fall in love and start a family together. The way you both looked at each other during your family session was everything. Jessica, I can tell you trust David with your whole life. And David, I can tell you treasure Jessica like the gem she is. I love how patient and loving you are with William. Being a parent and stepparent may have its challenges, but you both make it look easy. Thank you again for trusting me to capture these precious moments for you! I can't wait to see you all again.
