Manassas National Battlefield Engagement in Virginia

It was a beautiful, sunny fall day. A slight breeze kept Abbey and Jeff cool on this surprisingly warm November day. They had just finished touring their wedding venue and visualizing what their February wedding day will look like. Their Manassas National Battlefield Engagement in Virginia was the perfect ending to their day. If you would have told Abbey and Jeff a few years ago that they'd be smiling for a camera together to celebrate their engagement, they would have laughed.

Abbey's best friend schemed a rendezvous between Abbey and Jeff. She had brought them up to one another before, but Abbey made it clear she wasn't interested. She and Jeff had both decided to stop looking for relationships. So as fate would have it, they found each other when they weren't looking. Abbey and her friend showed up at a bar, where Jeff was waiting for them. Abbey's friend happened to disappear, and while Abbey was initially unhappy about it, she is forever grateful for that blind date.

As Abbey says, Jeff is the calm to her storm. He grounds her and brings peace to her life. Jeff credits Abbey for the joy and spontaneity in his life. They bring different things to the relationship, and I sensed a match made in heaven as they shared their love story with me. I have the privilege of capturing their wedding in D.C. in February, and after meeting them in person for their engagement session, I'm even more excited for their big day! They're so easy to talk to and are genuine by nature. Creating relationships with my clients is one of the best parts of my job. I am so happy I met them and get to create beautiful heirlooms for their family!

Dear Abbey and Jeff,

I feel so honored to have captured these special photos, and I can't wait to have you in front of my camera again! Your wedding is going to be stunning, and I'm so excited to serve you both on one of the most important days of your life. Although wedding planning can get stressful, I hope you'll soak it in and remember this - in just a few months, you'll get to say "I do" to your best friend!
