Maternity Session at Leesylvania State Park | Potomac River | Kelly + Joe
Everyone loves and is loved differently. Some have needs that others don’t. Our life experiences, family and friends all influence who we are as individuals.
All that to say…to truly love someone is not an easy thing to do. It’s a choice you have to make everyday.
Some people are lucky enough to know it when they find it.
Kelly and Joe? They knew it. I knew it. We all knew it.
When she told me about Joe and their relationship, I knew right away he was special.
When Kelly called me with the news about the pregnancy, I literally cried. I was so happy for her! And I was so happy that it’s Joe she will be sharing parenthood with.
OPPOSITES ATTRACT
Joe is so goofy and silly, and well, Kelly is more laid back and easy going.
For example, during their maternity session, one person kept making funny faces and doing random things like picking up snails, and it wasn’t me or Kelly.
I haven’t spent too much time with Joe, but from the times we have all spent together, it was easy to tell that their differences make them so compatible.
He makes her laugh like crazy and makes her happier than I’ve ever seen her.
Dear Kelly + Joe
I am so proud of the two of you. I said earlier that your differences make you stronger, but you’re similarities do too. You’re both strong, relentless and confident. Wyatt is so incredibly blessed to have you as parents. I am so excited to meet him, watch him grow, and capture more special moments for you.
Kelly, I love you dearly, and I hope you’re able to see yourself as I do through my lens and ever since senior year: amazing, resilient and honest. You’re already an amazing mom.
Joe, if anyone shouldn’t worry about fatherhood, its you. You’re going to be an awesome, fun and cool dad. The kind that Wyatt’s friends will want to talk to and hangout with. Just be careful, because they’ll also be crushing on Kelly. ;)

Wyatt, I love you already little buddy. Your parents mean a lot to me, so my heart already has a special spot for you. <3 I can’t wait to hangout with you and and watch you become a perfect combination of your parents. Your mom and I have lived far from each other, but that never ruined our friendship. So remember that no matter where you go, you too can always count on me.
